What lies ahead direct trade?

As the phase 1 on the long-last project, we work on trading directly with coffee farmers and explain about its plan.

After we start trading directly, we visit their farms every year, ask what they need there, check correctness of the data that international organizations announce, and research other informations we need. These research are used on phase 2.

On phase 2, we plans the financial support for farmers. Now, big importer overseas develop the service customers can give a tip to farmers directly as well as they do in coffee shops. This services needs the established traceability from farmers to shops. The other trader manages the online micro financial system.

The phase 2 helps farmer’s children without schooling or women with ideas of start-up ventures.

We hope phase 1 and 2 will make one  system that connect consumers and producers. However, many problems like infrastructure installations remains on the farms.

Through this project, we want people in Japan to know the situations surrounding coffee farms. We wish they can keep growing coffee beans and there are supports you also can do. Sending our voices and supports as consumers will make them happy.

As the first step of these plans, we want to make success on trading directly with farmers.
