I wrote an essey about Ukraine and polish organisation. 
 
War in Ukraine is a very hard experience not only for people but also for animals. Within less than two weeks, about 1.4 million people evacuated to Poland. Some of them unfortunately had to leave their animals in Ukraine. Polish organizations and citizens are trying to help both people and animals by providing shelter, food and basic necessities. However, the scale of the refugees is so large that many people are still camping with their animals at the railroad stations of large Polish cities. However, their situation is not as difficult and dramatic as the situation of animals not yet evacuated from Ukraine, which wander the streets without food or care and those still remaining in shelters.

One of the Polish organizations helps just such animals. Polish volunteers travel to Ukraine, often risking their lives to find such animals and evacuate them to Poland, where a makeshift shelter made of containers has been set up near the border. They are also helping to organize and evacuate Ukrainian animal shelters, whose situation in recent days has become dramatic not only because of the possibility of bombing, but also because of the lack of food. It should be remembered that in Poland and Ukraine it is still winter and temperatures can reach minus 15 degrees at night. However, the problems do not end with the evacuation of animals from Ukraine. Many of the rescued animals are in a very bad condition - they are chilled, dehydrated and sometimes injured. They need veterinary care, but most of all they need a permanent home.

The organization we would like to support is also trying to find new homes, but at the moment, due to the huge number of evacuated animals, the greatest need is the ability to purchase new containers for a makeshift shelter where rescued animals will wait for new owners, or transport them to shelters located in the interior of Poland. For now, the border shelter is supplied with water by the fire department and people from all over Poland send transporters, food and money. Nevertheless, the situation is very difficult and a lot of financial help is needed.

I wrot about Centaurus organisation.

I know the Centaurus Foundation well and have been supporting it financially for the past 10 years.It is a non-profit organization (registered on government websites and audited financially every year) that started out by rescuing horses from slaughter and has since expanded its work to other animals, including cats and dogs.

810 animals have already found new homes thanks to the foundation's activities.
