Until the day you win the innocence.
Hakamata's fight continues.

 

Isn't the Hakamata incident a man-made disaster, not a natural disaster? Moreover, we believe that it is an error that should not have occurred in the age of democracy, and it is a tragedy that freezes both body and mind.
 
After being sentenced to death, Hakamata experienced symptoms called "detention reaction," and was unable to communicate at all about the case and topics of the trial such as preparations for retrial. From March 2, 2009, Hideko Hakamata, his sister, has become an assistant and has been the requester for retrial.

 

Today, Mr. Hakamata, who lives in his hometown of Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, does not miss five or six hours of walking every day on rainy days, windy days, scorching sun and freezing days. His intention, which spelled "I’m fighting on behalf of the weak " in prison, still oozes out from the back of Hakamata who roams the streets of Hamamatsu just like a training monk. His walking around town is a fight.

 

Crowdfunding is not just about collecting money. It is also an indication to the court of the existence of all those who believe in Hakamata's innocence . Please send your will of "I want to support  Hakamata" . And we request to the Supreme Court to make a decision to start the trial.
 

 

 

Use of funds

 

All funds received will be donated by the Hakamata Supporters Club to the defense team.

 

1) Legal team activity costs: Expenses for finding new evidence, testing and appraisal, and outsourcing opinions

・Activities to scientifically verify that the five pieces of clothing are "evidence" that they have been made from a net.

・Activities to raise reasonable doubts about other guilty evidence

・Activities to point out problems in the legal theory of high court decisions (constitutional violations, case violations)

2) Activities for revision of the Reexamination Law

3) Enhancement of public relations activities related to the Hakamata case

 

* Above all, we are seeking a way to go abroad for DNA type testing. This is to provide multi-faceted evidence in addition to the appraisal results by domestic researchers that have already been submitted to the courts.

 

 

A SPECIAL MESSAGE

 

Dear Mr. Hakamata,

My thoughts are with you, thinking of the indescribable suffering and sorrow you have been enduring for more than half a century, I pray with all my heart that your name will be cleared as soon as possible and that you will be completely freed from all the chains by which you have been restrained.

I deeply hope that the tragedy which befell Mr. Nishi in the Fukuoka Incident will never be repeated. 

I also hope that, given this opportunity, the Japanese criminal justice system may be radically reformed.
