さて、本日もISC66の実行委員の思いを届ける"OUR THOUGHTS"企画！！を行っていきたいと思います！

 

第7回目はISC66Table3のテーブルチーフを務める、Narjes Mahjoubです！！

 

 

 

Driven by her intellectual curiosity and a deep interest in the science of environmental engineering ,I, Narjes Mahjoub found myself taking the challenging path towards joining the ranks of environmental enthusiasts. Aware of my integral role as a community member and a global citizen, I try to give back to her community either by volunteering in public service or by co-establishing an innovative association. I am a young Tunisian woman who can clearly see her path and wants to work with like-minded peers to make a difference in the lives of others because she believes that change starts with us and the world is a good place worth fighting for. And that was my motivation to apply for ISC 66 😊.

 

I am currently studying electromechanical energy engineering master’s program at UGent Belgium, but for me being an energy/environmental engineer is not only being competent in my field but also acquire a full set of skills that this program is helping me sharpen. 

We all know that if the global population is growing and standards of living improving, there will be an increasing pressure on the world's limited resources and that is why making industries more eco friendly through using circular economy is important. The circular economy provides the world an opportunity to reconsider how to innovate environmental solutions that will simultaneously allow global economic and environmental prosperity. Unlike the extractive linear model, the circular economy approach is a loped game changing idea of sustainable environmental management. It is designed to create value from waste and eliminate pollution in a manner that remains profitable to businesses.

Through our monthly meeting with the awesome team of ISC, I am acquiring new visions and opportunities that will make it a very memorable and special experience. So, thank you all <3
