Project Summary

Have you ever heard of the "Third-party Evaluation System for Child 
Guidance Offices"? 

The Japan Office for Standards on Children’s Services (J-OSCHIS) is a child 
guidance service evaluation organization, mainly conducting third-party 
inspections of Child Guidance Offices (CGO) and temporary shelters. 
The goal and mission of J-OSCHIS is to improve the quality of the work of 
CGOs and promote the protection of children's rights in order to identify 
challenges by way of third-party inspections of CGOs and temporary 
shelters, paving the path to improve their practices.
Our activities do not directly save children's lives or alleviate their 
challenging situations.

However, we believe that conducting third-party inspections of CGOs and 
temporary shelters will improve the quality of operations nationwide and 
ultimately protect children's rights.

Currently, we receive payments directly from the CGOs to conduct 
evaluations, but we believe that to pursue appropriate third-party 
inspections, we need to ensure neutrality and independence—that is, to 
secure our own financial resources.
 
We are committed to continuing our activities and protecting the rights of 
all children. We look forward to your warm support on this project.

Message from Unison Capital

Unison Capital fully supports this crowdfunding project both as a company
and through our alumni network.

One of the founding members of J-OSCHIS, Mr. Taejun Shin, is an alumnus 
of Unison.  We strongly agree with Mr. Shin’s vision and mission of J-
OSCHIS and are committed to cooperate in achieving the goal of 
protecting the rights of children by contributing to the improvement of the
quality of CGOs.

Several members of our company and alumni network had the 
opportunity to visit a CGO in Tokyo. The children we met at the CGO were 
children you would find anywhere; they greeted us politely and pleasantly 
and welcomed us with big smiles while playing happily in the facility’s 
gymnasium. We were comforted to learn that the CGO we visited is of very 
high quality compared to other facilities but were informed that there are 
many CGOs nationwide whose standards and qualities are lacking.

We believe that improving the environment and quality of CGOs will serve 
as a safety net for many children suffering from difficulties in their daily 
lives and will lead to their emotional and physical well-being. Thank you
