（English）Overview & How to Support by Credit Card

The Little World Museum of Man is characteristic of open air exhibitions and we have exhibited a full scaled Tibetan Buddhist Monastery since 1985.  It was built based on meticulous fieldwork in the village of Takshindu located 3,000 meters above sea level on the Himalayan Plateau.  Many local monks, builders and painters helped us with making the monastery in the Little World.

 

 

The statue of Buddha from Nepal is placed at the far end of the main temple building and is occupied with esoteric Buddhism paintings there.  All museum visitors can feel the real atmosphere of Tibetan Buddhist Monastery.

Almost 40 years have passed since the monastery was built and unfortunately the building have got damage because of heavy rains and typhoons.  We are now planning to renovate the monastery this winter.
