*** ABOUT THIS PROJECT ***
For building a new image of Africa that is different from development or assistance.
Suggesting a new image of AFRICA and it's history through a trip all around Africa by truck and camping.

*** Hi, I'm SUSUMU ***
Hi, I'm Susumu IMAIZUMI, Senior, majoring in Swahili at School of Foreign Studies, Osaka University, Japan. In university I learn about language, culture, nature and history from various regions of Africa through Swahili, a common language in eastern Africa. Right now, I've left school for 1 year and challenging on a trip to travel all Africa. ( My blog is : /Japanese Only ). My purpose for this trip is not only to travel Africa. My theme is to "Reconsider the history of Africa", and I'm trying to accomplish 2 PROJECTS so I can share different perspectives of Africa with you.
For accomplishing these 2 PROJECTS I need your support on traveling fee, material fee and cost for data. I would like to ask your kind support for creating a new perspective of Africa. Let's build a new image of Africa together!

The following are the 2 PROJECTS for the funds;

[ PROJECT 1 ]
Learn thoughts and feelings regarding 'history' that is rooted in each region, through the 'narrations' of people living in Africa. Also collect history text books of each country and analyze them as a comparison to 'narrations'.

[ PROJECT 2 ]
After returning to Japan, hold a photo exhibition and display the collected documents under the theme of "Figures of African History".
