福島原発事故から１3年余、約3年前の「Nuke Info Tokyo」のクラウドファンディングへのメッセージを読みかえしてみますと、状況は全く改善されていないどころか悪くなっていると感じます。被害が数十万年も続く可能性のある事故の責任はいまだに誰もとっていません。廃炉４０年計画など空論であることは明らかであるにも係わらず、TEPCOはあたかも実現するかのように計画を先延ばしにしながら引きずっています。汚染水の海洋投棄は現実になり、事故現場の潜在的危険性は増大する一方です。日本政府も電力会社もこの事故の本当の姿を国民に知らせようとはしません。福島における甲状腺がんの多発すら被ばくとの関係を否定しています。　

 事故に対する公衆の関心が薄れる中、現在10機の原発が運転中で女川原発の再稼働も迫っています。

この地震大国日本で原発事故が再発する可能性は大きく、その影響は世界的な規模に及ぶ可能性がありますが、この危機的現状は海外には伝わりにくい状況があります。当局が伝えない正確な情報をNuke Info Tokyoから発信し続けることは益々重要となっています。

More than 13 years have passed since the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident. As I read my message of support from about 3 years ago for the ‘Nuke Info Tokyo’s’ previous crowdfunding campaign, I feel that the situation has not improved at all, but rather it has been getting worse in these years. Until this day, no one has taken responsibility for the accident which has the possibility to cause damages that lasts for hundreds of thousands of years. Even though it is obvious that the 40-year decommissioning plan is an empty theory, TEPCO is still dragging on with the plan as if it is feasible while keep postponing their plans. Releasing contaminated water into the ocean has become reality and potential risk of the accident site has been only increasing. Neither the Japanese government nor the electric power company try to inform the public about the true nature of this accident. They deny even the connection between the high incidence of thyroid cancer in Fukushima and radiation exposure. 

While the public interest in the accident is declining, currently 10 nuclear power plants are in operation and re-starting of the Onagawa Nuclear Power Plant is approaching. 

There is a high possibility that the nuclear power plants accidents will happen again in this earthquake-prone country Japan, and the impact could be global. However, in the current situation, it is difficult for people around the world to get information on the crisis situation. It is becoming increasingly important that NIT keeps delivering accurate information which the authorities do not provide.
