Q: ISC67に入ろうと思ったきっかけや、組織の一員としての目標を教えてください。これまでISC67で働いてきた感想もお願いします。

コロナウイルスの拡大がきっかけでISCに参加しようと決めました！半年間、休学していたのですが、その中で強く感じたのが、都心と地方を隔てる、情報とモチベーションの格差でした。都市と地方の交流を促進するための架け橋や居場所を作る方法はないかと悩んでいたところ、ISCに出会いました。ここでなら、オンライン環境下で高いモチベーションを維持するための手段を学べると思ったのです。だからISC67に参加することを決意しました。

 

このコミュニティを通じて、大学のような喜びと学びに満ちた最高のオンラインコミュニティを作りたいと思っています。このコミュニティにいれば、学術的な知識や文化的な知識をたくさん得ることができ、パンデミックの中でも、世界中の人とつながることができる、そういったプラットフォームです。

 

時には本当に辛いと感じることもあります。私は一種のHSP(注: 生まれつき感受性が高い)なので、コミやテーブルチーフの表情を詮索し、、一人で深く考えてしまいがちな時があります。また、ストレスを発散したいという気持ちと、一生懸命に取り組みたいという気持ちとの間に葛藤があり、考えがまとまらず行動できないときもあります。

でも、みんなそれぞれの個性を持っていて、支え合っているこのコミュニティが本当に好きです。ミーティングでは、いつもメンバーから多くの刺激を受けています。どのコミにも、驚かされてばかりです。私がメンバー全員のためにどれだけ貢献できているかはわかりませんが、これからもサポートしてくださる皆様に感謝の気持ちを伝えたいと思います。このパンデミックに対抗して、素晴らしい会議になること間違いなしです!

 

Q: 自分を表す言葉を教えてください。なぜこの表現を選んだのですか？

"雲" -悠長でのんびりした性格のため、特定の立場を示さずに物事を俯瞰するのが大好きです。二面性を持っているという観点でも、まさしく雲ですねｗ
1. 黒：できるだけ多くの個性を取り入れようとし、そこから学んだことを情熱を持って共有したり、アウトプットしたりしようとする。
2.白：自身の純白さを保つため、雲が光を反射するように情報を遮断し、時間を浪費する。いつかは雲になって、すべてを風に任せてどこまでも飛んでいきたいとよく夢想しています。

最後に、歴史オタクの僕の話に1分ほど付き合ってもらえると幸いです。

 

三蔵法師を皆さんご存じでしょうか？

孫悟空と猪八戒、沙悟浄を連れて天竺（＝インド）へ向かったというエピソードで有名ですね。

 

残念ながら悟空たちを引き連れたという史実はありませんが、インドに向かったのは事実です。今みたいに電車も車も、GPSもない世界で、当時の中国にない崇高な経典を求め30000キロを歩きます。しかも途中、水も食料もない中、砂漠で餓死しかけたり、遭難して氷河の上で寝たりと…。「普通帰るでしょ」と誰もがツッコみたくなる道のりを、1人になりながらも歩ききったのです。

一方僕も、このISCを通して、地理的制約に生じた情報格差を減らせるのではないかと信じています。そして今、団体の運営を通して、オンラインイベントをよりリアルな体験に近づけられるよう、右も左もわからない中日進月歩しています。

 

三蔵法師とを僕の思い比べるのはいささかおごり高ぶっていると思います。しかし、大きな目標のために、団体として苦難を乗り越えようとする思いは同じなのではと思います。

 

いまISCは、オンラインコミュニティの可能性を底上げする大事な時期になっています。まさしく砂漠の上です。そんな中皆さんのご協力が、今後の僕たちを手助けしてくれるオアシスになることは間違いありません。

Q: What do you study at your University?
I study environmental economics at Keio University.

 

Q: What is your role at ISC67?
Vice President

 

Q: What made you want to join ISC67, and what are your goals as a part of the organization? What is it like to work at ISC67 so far?

The pandemic of covid-19 determined me to join ISC. While I spend a half of the gap year, I cannot help the gap of information and passion between urban and local cities. And I struggled to find a method on how to create a bridge or community to boost interaction between these cities. Then, I found ISC and I thought this is the best association to ponder to create an online motivated community. That's why I decided to join ISC 67.

 

Through this community, I'd like to make one of the best online communities filled with joy and learning topics. That would be a kind of campus. Staying in this community, you can get lots of academic and cultural knowledge, and a community  to connect throughout the world. A platform that is easy to connect participants all over the world despite the pandemic. 

 

Sometime feel really hard. I'm a kind of HSP, so sometime I overreact to commi or TC's face and tend to think by myself deeply. Also I feel some struggle between my desire to relieve stress and hardworking passion, which makes me stuck to one position without any action....

After all, however, I really like this community, everyone has their own character and supports each other. I cannot join every meeting without getting inspiration from every member. I was always surprised by every commi. I'm not sure how much contribution I make for all members, but I want to say a great gratitude to everyone who keeps up with us. We are sure to make a great conference against this pandemic!!

 

Q: What is the one word that describes yourself? Why did you choose this word?

“Cloud” -  I'm a really calm and relaxed person and love to oversee affairs without any perspectives. Just as clouds, I have two opposite aspects as below.

1. Black: try to absorb as much color as possible and try to share or output what I've learned  with lots of passion.

2. white: try to reject almost all of things just as reflecting all colors and stay pure white, and waste the time.

In addition, I sometimes dreamed of being a cloud and flying everywhere leaving all the things to wind.

Have you ever heard of Xuanzang?

He is famous for the episode where he took Son Goku, Inohachai and Sagojo to India.

 

Unfortunately, there is no historical fact that he took Goku and his friends with him, but it is true that he went to India. In a world where there were no trains, cars, or GPS like today, he walked 3,000 kilometers in search of the sublime scriptures that were not available in China at that time. On the way, he almost died of starvation in the desert without water or food, or got lost and slept on a glacier.... He walked through a journey that would have made anyone want to ask, "Why don't you just go home?

 

On the other hand, I also believe that through this ISC, we can reduce the information gap caused by geographical limitations. And now, through the management of the organization, I am trying to make online events more like real experiences.

 

I think it is a bit arrogant to compare my thoughts with those of Sanzo. However, I believe that we share the same desire to overcome hardships as a group in order to achieve a great goal.

 

This is an important time for ISC to raise the potential of the online community. We are in the desert. Your help will definitely be an oasis that will help us in the future.
