DAY２５　行動力の塊。谷口たかひささんにお会いしました。

みなさん、おはようございます！

本日の活動報告は、みきがお届けします。

 

4月2日（水）は、以前から私たちが会う日と決めていました。

 

クラファンのこと、今後の活動のことなどを一緒に話そうということで、

泉佐野あたりで会うつもりにしていたら・・・

 

なんと！同日の午前中にしかも泉佐野で、私たちが実際にお会いしたいとかねてから思っていた谷口たかひささんのお話会があるというではありませんか。

すごい偶然、いや、これは必然に違いないということで、迷わず申し込みをさせていただきました！

 

張り切って、朝早く待ち合わせをしてモーニングをした後に、現地に向かいました。

 

 

谷口さんは環境活動家で、世界100カ国をまわってこられました。

 

前々から、投稿を拝見する中で、心にダイレクトに届くパワフルな言葉を発する人だなと思っていました。

 

この言語化の力、そして論理的思考力はどのように育てたのか？

 

最後にいくつか質問させていただいたのですが、それを尋ねるとやはりイギリスでの留学経験が1番大きいかなとおっしゃっていました。

 

自分の意見を持つのが当たり前でそれを求められる環境。そこから、今の谷口さんへどんどん進化されたのだなと思いました。

 

「どんな困難からも多くの視点を取り入れ、俯瞰しながら希望を見出し、想いをすぐに行動につなげる方」という印象を持ちました。

 

昨日の講演では、メモが追いつかないぐらいの情報量で、谷口さんの数々の経験からの強い想いがひしひしと伝わってきました。

 

常々おっしゃっていることでもありますが、谷口さんの1番の応援者であるお母様は、【応援はしても、期待はしない】というスタンスを貫いておられるそうです。

期待を入れることで、エゴが入ってしまう。

まさに無償の愛だなと思ったし、改めて、親としてそうありたいと感じました。

 

 

谷口さんは、ご自身のイギリス留学を叶えるために19歳で起業し、その収益から留学を叶えた方で、お若い時から本当に行動を積み重ねてこられました。

 

ドイツでの環境への課題を目の当たりにしたことがキッカケで、何も知らなかったご自分を恥じたそうです。

常に、何事も「自分ごと」と捉え「自分に何ができるか」という問いを繰り返し、止まることなく活動されてきました。

 

 

数々のお話の中で、印象的だったのは

たった8歳の男の子（ドイツ）が問題意識を持ち、

「自分にやれることは全てやった。」と胸を張れる大人になりたいと発言したということ。

 

繰り返しになりますが、まだ8歳の男の子です。

 

こんな小さな頃から、問題を自分ごととして捉え、変えていこうとする力。

 

 

ここで、教育の違いも浮き彫りになっていると感じました。

 

 

 

 

 

谷口さんもおっしゃっていましたが、

 

日本のこれまでの教育では「義務」について学んでも

「権利」について深めることがなかった。

 

だから、ルールは是が非でも「守るもの」

 

【ルールを変えていっても良い】とは学んでこなかったのです。

 

 

考えたり、あらゆることに疑問を感じたりする習慣がない状態で大人になってしまって

 

政治的無関心が起きてしまったり、

 

メディアのいうことを鵜呑みにしてしまったりして今に至る、ということも

起きてしまうんですね。

 

 

本当に、これはまずいですし、

 

それぞれが、まずいと問題意識を持った時点で、

それぞれのできることを探す旅が始まる気がします。

 

 

考えない大人、問題意識を持たない大人が、

子どもに思考力を身につけよう、もっと考えようなどと言っても

 

子どもたちにとって、説得力がありませんよね。。。

 

私自身、人生の多くを大して思考を巡らさず流されてきたことがあったのではないかと

考えさせられました。

 

 

最後に質問タイムを設けてくださり、

なかなかこんな機会はないと思って手をあげたものの、

感極まりすぎて涙が流れ号泣　（汗）

 

1回目は、質問というよりも感謝の気持ちをお伝えしました。

 

谷口さんの発信でいつも刺激をいただいていて

 

これまで紆余曲折あった中で、

疑問に感じてモヤモヤと受け身で待つというのをやめて

 

自分たちにできることは何かを考え動くことを決めて

 

今、クラウドファンディングにチャレンジできているのは

 

少なからず谷口さんの影響を頂けているからだと思っています。

 

背中を押してくださった谷口さんに心からの感謝を伝えさせてください、と

お話ししました。

 

 

そして、クラファンが成功して心育の活動が本格的に始まったら

ぜひ、谷口さんを呼ばせてくださいとお話ししました。

 

谷口さんが、（タイミングが合えば）NZでもいくよ！って言ってくださって

すごくワクワクしています。

 

それがいつになるのかわからないし、もちろん物理的に大丈夫かという問題もあるものの

そこで諦めてしまって「できない」と決めてしまったら、可能性はゼロになってしまいます。

 

少しでも可能性があるなら、それを目標の一つとして残しておきたいのです。

 

 

谷口さんが講演の中でお話ししてくださった、昔の【薩摩の掟】

 

序列というものがあり、

 

①挑戦し、成功した人

②挑戦し、失敗した人（個人的には失敗はないと思っています）

③挑戦した人の応援をする人

 

④何もしなかった人

⑤何もせずに批判だけしている人

 

となっているそうです。

 

 

だから、谷口さんは

 

何もしていない人が

一生懸命挑戦している人のことを批判しても、

耳を貸す必要はない。そうおっしゃっていました。

 

 

私たちにとって、大きな勇気づけになったことは間違いないです。

 

 

エジソンの考え方

【成功の反対は失敗ではなく、何も挑戦しないこと】という言葉からも

 

挑戦しさえすれば、必ず何か得られると思っています。

 

 

 

 

みんなが、あらゆる分野で自分にできることに取り組めば

大きな力になるし、

 

「微力でも、無力ではない」という谷口さんの言葉がとっても心に響きました。

 

 

だからこそ、【完璧主義を捨てる】。

完璧になるまで行動しなければ、人生が終わってしまいます。

 

 

知覚動考（ともかくうごこう）

「知る」「覚える」「動く」「考える」という流れで、

 

まずは動く。

動くことで、さらなる課題も見えてきて

考えを巡らせることができるんですよね。

 

 

だから、私たちも動きます。

このクラウドファンディングを、皆様の力を借りて、絶対に達成したいと思っています。

 

NZの学校視察や

ASD・軽度知的障害を持つ次男のショートホームステイの体験からの学びを

これからのさらなる活動に活かしていきます。

Wednesday, April 2 has been set as the day for us to meet.

 

The idea was to talk together about our crowdfunding project and our future activities,

we had planned to meet around Izumisano city, but...

 

What a surprise! We got to know that on the same morning in Izumisano, there would be a talk by Mr. Takahisa Taniguchi, whom we had been hoping to meet in person at some point.

By sheer coincidence, or rather, inevitability, we did not hesitate to register for the event!

 

We were both very excited, so we met up early in the morning, had a morning breakfast, and headed to the site.

 

 

 

 

Mr. Taniguchi is an environmental activist who has traveled to 100 countries around the world.

 

For some time now, as I have read his posts on Instagram, I have thought that he is a person who speaks powerful words that reach directly to the heart.

 

I had a question inside of me.

“How did he develop this power of verbalization and logical thinking?”

 

I asked him a few questions at the end of the interview, and he said that his study abroad experience in the UK was the most significant.

 

It was an environment where it was natural to have one's own opinion and it was demanded of you. I thought that is how Mr. Taniguchi has evolved into the person he is today.

 

I got the impression that Mr. Taniguchi is a person who takes in many perspectives from any difficulty, finds hope from a bird's eye view, and immediately connects his thoughts to action.

 

In yesterday's lecture, there was so much information that I could not keep up with my notes, and I could clearly feel Mr. Taniguchi's strong desire based on his many experiences.

 

As he always says, his mother, who is Mr. Taniguchi's biggest supporter, has always taken the stance of “supporting but not counting on.

 

I thought this was truly big love, and once again, as a parent, I felt I wanted to be like that.

 

 

Mr. Taniguchi, who started his own business at the age of 19 to make his own study abroad in the U.K. come true from his earnings, has truly made a lot of actions from a young age.

 

He was ashamed of himself for not having the knowledge about the problem when he saw the environmental challenges in Germany.

He has always regarded everything as “his own business” and repeatedly asked himself, “What can I do?

 

 

Among his many stories, I was impressed by the following episode.

A boy of only 8 years old (in Germany) became aware of the problem and said, “I want to be an adult who can proudly say, ‘I did everything I could’”

 

Again, he is only 8 years old.

 

He has the ability to see problems as his own and try to change them, even at such a young age.

 

I felt that this also highlighted the difference in education.

 

 

 

 

As Mr. Taniguchi mentioned, we have learned about “obligations,” but we have not deepened our “rights”.

Therefore, rules are to be “obeyed” at all costs.

We have not learned that it is okay to change the rules.

 

 

People have grown up without the habit of thinking and questioning everything.

Political apathy can happen,

and, they have come to believe what they hear from the media.

 

This is really bad.

 

 

I think that once we become aware of the problem, we will be able to start our own journey to find what we can do.

 

If adults who don’t  think much, who don’t  have an awareness of problems, tell children that they need to learn to think, to think more, etc…,children cannot respect adults.

 

 

It made me think about the fact that I myself have spent much of my life without thinking much.

 

At the end of the session, he gave us a chance to ask questions,

I raised my hand, thinking that such an opportunity would be rare,

I was so moved that I cried and cried.

 

At first, I expressed my gratitude rather than a question.

 

Mr. Taniguchi's messages always inspire me.

 

In the midst of all the twists and turns so far,

I've stopped being passive and waiting for something good happens and mope around.

 

We decided to think about what we can do and take action.

 

I believe that the reason we are now able to take on the challenge of crowdfunding is due in no small part to the influence of Mr. Taniguchi.

 

I told Mr. Taniguchi that I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to him for pushing me to take on this challenge.

 

And I told him that if the crowdfunding is successful and Cocoiku activities start in earnest,

please let us invite him as a guest.

 

Mr. Taniguchi told me that he could be there in NZ (if the timing was right)! We’re very excited.

 

I don't know when that will be happened , and of course there is the question of whether it will be actually possible.

If we give up and decide that we can't do it, then there is no possibility.

If there is even a small possibility,  we want to keep it as one of our goals.

 

 

Mr. Taniguchi conveyed in his lecture [The Satsuma Code］

 

(1) Those who have challenged and succeeded

(2) Those who have tried and failed (I personally believe that there is no failure)

(3) Those who tried and supported those who tried

 

(4) Those who did nothing

(5) Those who did nothing but criticize

 

 

 

So, Mr. Taniguchi said there is no need to listen to those who did nothing but criticize when we take actions.

 

It was definitely a great encouragement to us.

 

 

From Edison's way of thinking

“The opposite of success is not failure, but not trying anything.”

I believe that as long as you try, you will always get something out of it.

 

 

 

If everyone works at what they can do in every field, it will be a great power,

 

I was very moved by Mr. Taniguchi's words,

“Even a small amount of power is not nothing.”

 

 

That's why we have to [abandon perfectionism].

 

If you don't act until you achieve perfection, your life will end.

 

 

Perception and Action

The flow of “know,” “learn,” “move,” and “think,

 

First, move.

By moving, we can see further issues and

and we can think about them.

 

 

 

That is why we are also moving.

 

 

We are trying this crowdfunding campaign with your help, we are determined to achieve this goal.

 

We are planning to visit schools in NZ and to use the learning from the short homestay experience of my second son who has ASD and mild intellectual disabilities

We will make the most of it in our further activities in the future.

 

And your support itself is “action” and we have great respect and gratitude.
