このプロジェクトが始まって、

たくさんの出逢いをいただきました。本当にありがとうございます。

 

英語が苦手な私達のために、何人もの方が英訳をしてくださったおかげで、

今日まで70日近くも世界へメッセージを届けることができました。

おかげさまで、新しい出逢いもいただきました。心から感謝しています。

もう一度、ここにも記しておきます。

でも、まだスタート地点に立ったばかり。

これで終わりではありません。

夏で終わりでもありません。

【”Komera no mori” will bring “roots of life”】

 

 

“Komera no mori” will bring “roots of life” not only to children but also to us and parents. Adults learn a lot from children, connect people from the local community through encounters in nature and seize the moment of new awareness.

 

 

However, we consider a decreased concern with the disaster areas over time. It becomes difficult for us regrettably to continue “Komera no mori” activities because of its underendowed status and poor condition of the old house’s bath and kitchen.

 

 

We plan to conduct a much-loved tour to Sadoga-shima, Niigata prefecture again this year. Its necessary costs including travel cost hamper the tour. It is our hope that many children can join the tour and enjoy the beautiful sea and feel a freedom there.

 

 

Last summer 45 in total joined our recreational camps, of those 28 parents and children participated a camp in Sadoga-shima and 17 children in “Komera no mori.” Successful fund-raise can enable us to conduct such camps with some 50 participants. Though it is not a large scale, we do value these efforts.

 

 

We believe “Komera no mori” should be an ideal place for children to play and recreate, and put a smile on their face and bring ample nature experiences. We sincerely hope that you will help us to continue “Komera no mori” projects.

■”Nobi-nobi Camp in spring” (20 participants)
March 21st to 23rd (three days and two nights)
Making 100 kg of hand-made Miso, playing in the snow, candle campfire, and night hike

 

 

■“Komera no mori” camp in spring (7 participants)
March 26th to 30th (five days and four nights)
Making 200 kg of hand-made Miso, tire tube sledding, playing in the snow, cooking steamed rice over wood-fired oven, bathing in metallic drum can bathtubs and candle campfire

 

 

Activity plan
■“Komera no mori”　work camp in Golden Week

 

April 26th to 29th
May 3rd to 6th
- playing outdoors, removing cover from snow, working on a farm, splitting woods and etc
- Making 200 kg of hand-made Miso (May 4th to 5th)

 

 

Hand-made miso can improve children’s immunity and bring smiles. We will get miso to workers in the Fukushima nuclear power plant.

Children can have a big smile by enjoying local nature in mountains of Minamiaizu, Fukushima and sea of Sadoga-shima, Niigata and playing with friends. Please join our program to enjoy summer with children.
