I want to change to Flush Toilet instead of Old Pit Toilet for children who visit the Museum.

 

This project is to change the toilets of Museum to Flush toilet.

Building got old and with a calamity of huge earthquake the damaged part is

increasing. We are repairing many times and the old wooden school building

having the warmth matches the natural environment and could be attractive

point.

However, children of lesser age than mid high school student  who visit the

museum often cannot use the old pit toilet.
 

We tell them that they can do in any open place outside the building but

children cannot do so and parents have to leave the museum because of the

children. They say they never used such old system Toilet after the birth and

parents are sorry to inform when they reach toilet somehow they cannot do the 

jobs and so I feel very regrettable about that.

This is in the Mid mountain area which has no sewerage system.

General houses can get an assistance for installing the septic tank system.

But the old school building is a property rented from the municipality and

the contract is to bear the maintenance cost by ourselves.

Economically, we are unable to afford to make the set ups by ourselves and so

we could not change to flush toilet.
 

We are trying to have minimum numbers of toilets to make the expense as

lowest possible. Clearing Tank work is required by burying the existing pot of

pit toilets,

And as an expense to install new flush toilet, 3,300,000 yen is

needed. We want to complete the work by end of November, 2019 which is

just before the heavy snowfall season.

To show Mithila paintings to many people and to continue the exhibit in the

future, many visitors along with family members need the toilets which they

can use comfortably.

 

Cracks and Rain sweeping is increasing which can be a project in future.

but first the toilet problem should be solved.

Ganga Devi Godawari Dutt, of Mithila Painting, Mr. Jivya Soma Mashe of Worli Painting are all the recipients of Padmashree awards of India.

Those painting cannot be seen in India any more.

I think our sustainable museum activity can be a new model for a cultural

creation.

Our world best collection is the treasure of the area and one of the treasures of Japan. I want children who carry our future to see those paintings.
