【金沢のアパートで一人暮らしが始まりました】

【KANAZAWA, NEW HOME】

I have spent the last month trying to get used to and find my way around Kanazawa.

I managed to rent a cosy little apartment which accepts pets so that I am able to keep Cookie.

Unfortunately my husband has moved to Tokyo as his work place was also destroyed by the earthquake so I am living alone with Cookie for the first time in 34 years. Getting used to cooking and shopping for one is a challenge so I end up eating the same foods for a few days!

Fortunately I was able to rescue all the furniture that was in my Kobonagaya gallery and there are some very good second hand shops in Kanazawa where I was able to buy the necessities that I didn't have.

Not having a garden, I have put some plants on the balcony which overlooks the mountains in Toyama and Cookie and I sit out there, drinking tea and watching the world go by !

We never know what tomorrow will bring so please take care of yourselves and don't wait to do all the things that you plan to do someday, that day might never come !

【金沢の新しい家】

先月は金沢に慣れて自分の道を見つけようとしていました。

なんとかペットのクッキーを飼える居心地の良い小さなアパートを借りました。

残念ながら夫は輪島の職場も震災で倒壊したため東京の職場に引っ越しせねばならず、私は34年ぶりに一人暮らし(クッキーとは一緒です)をしています。料理や買い物に慣れるのが大変で、数日間同じものを食べてしまいます!

幸いなことに、輪島工房長屋のギャラリーにあった家具は全て救出することが出来ました。

又、金沢には中古品店がいくつかあり、これから必要な物を買うことが出来ました。

庭はありませんが、富山の山々を見下ろすバルコニーに植物を置いてクッキーとそこに座ってお茶を飲みながら、人々が通り過ぎるのを眺めています。

今、改めて思うことは“明日がどうなるかは誰にも分からない”ということ。

皆様、いつかやろうと思っていることを後回しにしないでください。
