For the health and lasting happiness of rescued cats...
Support for tight medical costs
Thank you very much for your continued support. This is Aiko Watanabe, the director of the rescue cat cafe love.lab, based in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture, and Takayuki Kimishima, the vice president.
Based on our desire to "save cats" and "make cats happy," we aim to create a world where there are no orphaned cats, and we take care of cats admitted to a public health center in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture, free of charge. We also collaborate with public health centers, such as transferring children to foster parents. To date, we have rescued approximately 1,500 animals, maintained a 100% adoption rate, and connected them to foster parents.
Most of the cats we take in are small cats that have just been born. Small cats have little physical strength and immunity, and even small things such as changes in the environment can put a strain on them.
We do not rush to adopt cats, and we make every effort to vaccinate cats to protect them from infectious diseases when they are about 2 months old, and equip them with microchips before transferring them. (*Even if you are thorough, some cats may become unwell due to changes in the environment after being adopted.)
After the animals are adopted, we work with each pet 24 hours a day to ensure that they can live a happy life with their owners.
We are diligently cleaning and disinfecting.
I wash my clothes 5 to 10 times a day to keep them clean.
Most of the operating costs, such as treatment costs for cats that require treatment, utility costs, food costs, and personnel costs, are supported by donations from everyone.
Last time, the medical expenses were higher than expected. This is our fourth time taking on this challenge, and as the number of cats that require expensive treatment and senior cats that require regular check-ups is expected to increase again this year, we have no choice but to raise our goals one step higher than the support we received last time. We have decided to raise an amount of 3 million yen.
This year, we are working hard every day in addition to operating the rescue cat cafe, such as launching a new business, with the goal of raising awareness about the situation that rescue cats are in throughout Fukushima Prefecture outside of Koriyama City. .
We ask for your continued support this year to protect the health and future happiness of our rescued cats.
Once again, we would appreciate your continued support and encouragement for this project.
